- 10 1/2 ounces ground chicken, pork or beef
- 2 servings steamed rice
- 1 cup water or chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 1 tablespoon potato starch (katakuriko)
- 1 tablespoon water
step 1:
Heat the salad oil in a frying pan and sear the ground meat on medium heat until it changes color.
step 2:
Add the water (or chicken stock), sugar and soy sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes on medium-low heat.
step 3:
Dissolve the potato starch in the 1 tablespoon of water. Add the dissolved potato starch to the frying pan. Stir a few times until the mixture becomes creamy.
step 4:
Serve over the steamed rice.
