Potatoes & Ground Meat with Sticky Sauce
Ingredients

ingredients:

  • 240 g potatoes
  • 200 g ground pork or chicken
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 480 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons potato starch (katakuriko)
  • 2 tablespoons water (for dissolving potato starch)
Step 1

Peel the potatoes; cut them into 4 to 6 cubes.

Step 2

Place the water in a pot. Add the potatoes, ground meat, grated ginger, sugar and soy sauce. Simmer for about 30 minutes on medium-low heat until the potatoes become soft.

Step 3

Dissolve the potato starch in the 2 tablespoons of water. Add the dissolved potato starch to the pot. Stir a few times until it becomes creamy.
