Seared Shiitake Mushrooms with Butter & Soy Sauce


  • 4 (5 ounces) shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • a little salt
  • a little pepper
Step 1

Wipe shiitake mushrooms with a wet paper towel. Cut off the stems and cut the caps into halves.

Step 2

Heat the butter in a frying pan over a medium flame and sear the shiitake mushrooms. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over them.

After the mushrooms change color on both sides, add the soy sauce.

Shiitake no batā-shōyu-yaki


The combination of shiitake mushrooms, butter and soy sauce is very delicious.
