- 15 ounces onions
- 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tablespoon salad oil
Peel the onions and cut in half. Cut each half into 1 in. wide slices.
Heat the salad oil in a pan and sear the onions for a couple of minutes on medium heat.
Add the water, sugar and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes on medium-low heat.
This dish is very easy and healthy recipe. The good taste of the sweetened sauce suits the onion well.
