- Japanese: Karē yaki-soba
- 2 packages or 340 g fried noodles
- 200 g thinly sliced pork or sliced ham
- 230 g onion
- 2 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- a little salt
- a little pepper
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
Slice the onion into 1 cm. wide pieces.
Cut the pork (or ham) into bite–sized pieces.
Heat the salad oil in a frying pan and sear the pork (or ham) on medium heat. Add the salt.
After the pork changes color, add the fried noodles and onion. Saute and stir them over a high flame for 3 minutes.
Add the curry powder, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Saute and stir them for 1 minute.
Serve in a dish.
Yaki-soba is usually prepared with Worcestershire sauce, but sometimes curry is also used. This dish combines both, and the Worcestershire sauce cuts down on the spicy taste of the curry.
