hamburger steak with grated radish & wasabi

ingredients:
- 200 g ground beef or pork
- 200 g onion
- 1 egg
- 80 g Japanese white radish
- suitable amount wasabi
- (japanese horseradish)
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- a little salt
- a little pepper
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon salad oil
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
garnish:
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 4 small cherry tomatoes
step 1:
Chop the onion.
step 2:
Beat the egg and mix with the ground beef, chopped onions, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a big bowl. Form into 2 balls and flatten into patties.
step 3:
Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium flame and add the patties. Cover and sear the patties for a couple of minutes.
step 4:
After they change color, sear the opposite side for a couple of minutes.
step 5:
Grate the radish.
Place the hamburger steak patties on a platter and arrange the garnish along the side of each. Put the grated radish on top of each patty. Pour the soy sauce over them. Put the wasabi (Japanese horseradish) beside of the hamburger steak patties.
