Japanese-Style Spring Roll with Pork

ingredients:

  • 4 rice papers
  • 70 g sliced pork
  • 100 g lettuce
  • 40 g cucumber
  • 840 ml water

dipping sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Step 1

Tear the lettuce into small pieces. Cut the cucumber into julienne slices.

Pour 360 ml of the water into a pan. Heat the water to 70 °C and add the pork slices one by one. After each slice changes color, remove and drain in a colander.

Pour the remaining 480 ml water into a bid bowl. Put a rice paper into the water and soak about 20 seconds. Remove and place it on a cutting board with the rough surface up and wipe dry with a paper towel.

Put the lettuce on the lower part of the rice paper. Put the pork over it. Put the cucumber over them.

Roll the rice paper over the ingredients one time. Fold the left and right sides of the rice paper in. Roll it over to complete the spring roll. Repeat from Step 3 to make the remaining 3 rolls.

Cut the rolls in half.

To make the dipping sauce, mix the soy sauce and mayonnaise in a shallow dish.
