- 3 1/2 ounces shimeji mushrooms
- 3 1/2 ounces carrot
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 1/3 teaspoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon white sesame seeds
- a little cayenne pepper powder (optional)
step 1:
Cut off the roots of the shimeji mushrooms. Cut the carrots into julienne slices.
step 2:
Mix the soy sauce, sugar and water in a bowl.
step 3:
Add the sesame oil to a frying pan and sear the shimeji mushrooms and carrot for a few minutes on medium flame.
step 4:
Add the soy sauce mixture (Step 2) and sear until the moisture evaporates.
step 5:
Add the white sesame seeds and cayenne pepper powder (optional) and mix.
