ingredients:
- 1 serving tempura
- 1 serving steamed rice
sauce:
- 50 ml bonito soup stock
- 25 ml soy sauce
- 50 ml sweet sake for seasoning (mirin)
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar

step 1:
To make the sauce, mix the bonito soup stock, soy sauce, sweet sake for seasoning (mirin) and sugar together in a pan and bring to a boil.

step 2:
Put the steamed rice into a big serving bowl. Sprinkle a little sauce over it. If the tempura is cold, heat it in a microwave oven. Dip the tempura into the sauce in the pan.

step 3:
Place the tempura over the rice.

Tempura Bowl (tendon) is tempura placed over a big bowl of steamed rice and is a hearty, delicious dish. Tendon can be eaten at specialty tendon restaurants in Japan. However, if you cook tempura at home, tempura bowl is a very easy leftover recipe to make.
