Rice, Shrimp & Avocado Gratin with Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients

ingredients:

  • 120 g shelled shrimps
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 30 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 170 g Alfredo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • a litle salt
  • a litle pepper
  • 2 servings steamed rice
Step 1

Cut the avocado in half lengthwise then peel. Cut each half into 1 cm. wide slices.

Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a frying pan and sear the shrimps. Saute for about a couple of minutes, sometimes stirring. Add the Alfredo sauce and stir. Simmer for a couple of minutes.

Step 3

Spread the remaining butter in two fireproof dishes. Place the steamed rice in the dishes and place the avocado slices over the rice. Preheat the oven to 250 °C.

Pour the shrimp sauce mixture over the rice. Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the mixture. Bake in the oven at 250 °C for 10 minutes.

Alfredo sauce suits shrimp and avocado and tastes even better with rice. Though this dish does not use meat, it is rich and delicious.
