- 1 serving shrimp tempura
- 1/4 sheet dried laver (optional)
- 1 serving steamed rice
sauce:
- 3 1/3 tablespoons bonito soup stock
- 5 teaspoons soy sauce
- 3 1/3 tablespoons sweet sake for seasoning (mirin)
- 2 teaspoons sugar
step 1:
Cook the sushi rice.
step 2:
To make the sauce, mix the bonito soup stock, soy sauce, sweet sake for seasoning (mirin) and sugar together in a pan and bring to a boil.
step 3:
Place the sushi rice on a plate. If you want to use the dried laver, cut it into slivers with scissors. Sprinkle the dried laver over the sushi rice.
step 4:
If the shrimp tempura is cold, heat it in a microwave oven. Dip the shrimp tempura into the sauce in the pan.
step 5:
Place the tempura over the sushi rice and dried laver (optional).

Ebi-tendon, a bowl of rice topped with shrimp tempura, is a very popular dish. This recipe is similar except that it uses sushi rice, and is also very tasty.
