- 1 ounce dried hijiki
- 4 ounces carrot
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 liter water for soaking
optional:
- 2 ounces tube‐shaped fish paste cake
- (chikuwa)
- 2 deep-fried tofu pouches (abura-age)
- 3 1/2 ounces boiled green peas
step 1:
Soak the dried hijiki in the 1 liter of water in a bowl for 30 minutes and drain.
step 2:
Cut the carrot into julienne slices.
step 3:
Cut the abura-age (optional) in half lengthwise. Stack them and cut into 4 equal strips.
step 4:
Slice the chikuwa (optional).
