Wash the sweet potato and cut it diagonally into 2 in. pieces.
Wrap the each piece in the aluminum foil.
Place on a grill and cook for 20 minutes on medium heat. Turn the pieces over and cook for another 20 minutes.
In the old days, grilled sweet potatoes were burned in a bonfire. The sweet potatoes become very sweet. This dish warms you up in cold weather.
