ingredients:
- 2 packages ramen noodles or
- Chinese noodles
- 4 slices Japanese-style char siu or ham
- 4 in. or 2/3 ounces leek or green onion
- 1 1/3 ounces menma (optional)
- 1 1/4 cups Chinese soup stock or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/4 cups bonito soup stock
- 1 liter water
step 1:
Chop the leek (or green onion).
step 2:
Pour the water into a big pan. Bring to a boil. In two separate pans, pour the Chinese soup stock (or chicken broth) and bonito soup stock. Also bring these to a boil. Remove from the heat.
step 3:
Pour 1 Tbsp. soy sauce into each serving bowl. Add half of the boiled Chinese soup stock (or chicken broth) and bonito soup stock to each bowl.
step 4:
Add the ramen noodles (or Chinese noodles) to the boiled water. Boil for 1 to 4 minutes (follow the cooking instructions on the bag). After boiling, drain the noodles in a colander and quickly add to the serving bowls.
step 5:
Place the Japanese-style char siu or ham, chopped leek (or green onion) and menma over the noodles.
