Mikkusu-sando
Clustless sliced bread for sandwich
Sandwiches in Japan use the bread most commonly eaten in Japan, which is characterized by its soft and fluffy texture. The loaf is often cut into 8 or 10 thin slices, and crustless bread is also sold. Two slices of bread are served with the ingredients, either cut diagonally or in half lengthwise. The standard sandwich ingredients are chopped boiled egg with mayonnaise, tuna flakes with mayonnaise, mashed potatoes with mayonnaise, ham, sliced cheese and lettuce, or deep–fried breaded pork cutlet and shredded cabbage. Some of those sandwiches are combined and sold as a single serving under the name of mikkusu-sando (mixed sandwiches). If you are interested in Japanese sandwiches, you should buy them if you are ever in Japan. They are sold in convenience stores, supermarkets and bakeries.
