
ingredients:
- 30 g dried hijiki
- 120 g carrot
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 360 ml water
- 1 liter water for soaking
optional:
- 60 g tube‐shaped
- fish paste cake (chikuwa)
- 2 deep-fried tofu pouches (abura-age)
- 100 g boiled green peas

step 1:
Soak the dried hijiki in the 1 liter of water in a bowl for 30 minutes and drain.

step 2:
Cut the carrot into julienne slices.

step 3:
Cut the abura-age (optional) in half lengthwise. Stack them and cut into 4 equal strips.

step 4:
Slice the chikuwa (optional).
