hijiki & green soybeans seasoned rice

ingredients:

step 1:

Wash the hijiki.

step 2:

If using frozen green soybeans, defrost them and remove the green beans from the pods.

step 3:

If using fresh green soybeans, wash and drain them. Bring 2 cups of the water to a boil, and add the salt and green soybeans. Bring to a boil again, and boil for three to four minutes.

step 4:

Drain the soybeans in a colander and remove the green beans from the pods.

step 5:

Wash the rice. Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups water, hijiki, green soybeans and soy sauce. Switch on the rice cooker.

After cooking, wait 5 minutes before stirring the rice mixture.

The only flavoring used is soy sauce, but this dish is delicious even without soup stock, which is often used in other recipes. Both hijiki and edamame are rich in iron and dietary fiber and are very good for your health. If you use frozen edamame, it is easier to make. Please try it.
