ingredients:
- 450 g potatoes
- 170 g carrot
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 480 ml bonito soup stock or water

step 1:
Peel the potatoes; cut them into 4 to 6 cubes.

step 2:
Cut the carrot into about 2.5 cm. wide pieces and cut lengthwise in half.

step 3:
Place the bonito soup stock (or water) in a pot. Add the potatoes, carrot, sugar and soy sauce. Simmer for about 30 minutes on medium-low heat until the vegetables become soft.

comment:
This dish is healthy because it is simmered for a long time without oil. The dashi (bonito soup stock) and sweetened soy sauce are absorbed into the vegetables very well, and this dish has a good taste.
