

step 1:
Cut the carrots into julienne slices.

step 2:
Cut the abura-age in half lengthwise. Stack them and cut into 4 equal strips.

step 3:
Pour the water into a pan. Add the carrots, abura-age, sugar and soy sauce. Cover and boil on a medium flame for about 15 minutes until the carrots become soft.
