Do you like dried persimmons? They are very good for your health because they contain a lot of carbohydrate and dietary fiber. Also, the drying process increases vitamin A, carotenes and potassium. This product, Toyama dried persimmons, is made by 250 farmers in Nanto City in Toyama Prefecture. It is very popular as a gift. It is made from sour dried persimmon, which is called sanjya-gaki (sanjya persimmon). It is very sweet, has just the right softness and is very delicious. Toyama Prefecture is in the Hokuriku region in northern Japan.
