Our yakisoba in bun
Our Napolitan spaghetti in bun
Shop's yakisoba in bun
It is well known that the Japanese eat rice as a staple food and Westerners eat bread as a staple food. However, Japanese also eat bread and have developed same unique usages for it different from those in the West. One example is hot dog buns stuffed with noodles. The fluffy soft bread used in this recipe is called "coppe bread" in Japan. The noodles are often yakisoba (fried noodles with Worcestershire sauce) or Napolitan spaghetti (fried spaghetti with ketchup). Udon (thick white noodles) and soba (buckwheat noodles) are never used. The noodles with bun are sold at stores such as bakeries, convenience stores and supermarkets rather than made at home. The combination of carbohydrates may be quite unusual, but there are recipes for "Yakisoba in Bun" and "Napolitan Spaghetti" on our website. If you are interested, please try them.
