simmered pumpkin & ground chicken

ingredients:

  • 1 pound pumpkin
  • (buttercup or Japanese squash)
  • 7 ounces ground chicken
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

step 1:

Remove the pumpkin seeds with a spoon.

step 2:

Cut the pumpkin into pieces bigger than bite-size (about 1 1/2 in.).

step 3:

Put the water, sugar, soy sauce and pumpkin in a pan. Add the ground chicken.

step 4:

Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on medium-low heat.

The combination of pumpkin, ground chicken and sweetened soy sauce has a wonderful taste.
