ingredients:
- 14 ounces Japanese radish
- (daikon)
- 1 1/4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 5/6 cups water
step 1:
Peel the Japanese radish and cut into 1 in. wide slices.
step 2:
Fill a small-size pan with 3 cups of the water and add the Japanese radish slices. Cover the pan and boil over medium flame for 30 minutes. Drain the Japanese radish slices in a colander.
step 3:
Place the Japanese radish slices in a pan and add the remaining 5/6 cup water, the sugar and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on low heat.
