baked rice & beef with demi-glace sauce

ingredients:

  • 150 g beefsteak
  • 100 g onion
  • 180 g demi-glace sauce
  • 60 ml red wine
  • 45 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • a litle salt
  • a litle pepper
  • 2 servings steamed rice

step 1:

Peel the onion and slice thinly. Cut the beef into 2 cm. strips.

step 2:

Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a frying pan and sear the beefsteak and onion. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over it. Saute for about a couple of minutes. Add the demi-glace sauce and wine. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.

step 3:

Preheat the oven to 250 °C. Spread the remaining butter in two fireproof dishes. Place the steamed rice in the dishes.

step 4:

Pour the beef sauce mixture over the rice. Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the mixture. Bake in the oven at 250 °C for 10 minutes.
