Chocolate coated sweets are not to everyone's taste, but there are some people who like to eat sweet chocolate and salty snacks together. There is a famous chocolate coated Japanese snack called kaki-no-tane, which is soy sauce flavored fried mochi chips in the shape of persimmon seeds. It's also a unique combination, just like the potato chips combination. The most famous chocolate coated Japanese snack is a thin pretzel stick coated with chocolate. It is a product that has been sold by a Japanese company since the late 1960s and is still popular today. Around the same time, another Japanese company introduced a snack called mugi-choko (mugi means barley and choko is the Japanese short version for chocolate), a chocolate coated Japanese puffed grain snack that is popular with children.
