- 1/2 ounce dried hijiki
- 1 pound potatoes
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups water

step 1:
Soak the dried hijiki in 1 cup of the water in a bowl for 30 minutes and drain.

step 2:
Peel the potatoes; cut them into 8 to 12 cubes.

step 3:
Place the remaining water in a pot. Add the potatoes, hijiki, sugar and soy sauce. Simmer for about 30 minutes on medium-low heat until the potatoes become soft. Remove from the heat.
