sauteed beef, spinach & onion with soy sauce

ingredients:

  • 7 ounces beef
  • 7 ounces fresh spinach
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil

step 1:

Cut the beef into bite-size pieces. Cut off the stems of the spinach and cut into about 2 in. wide pieces. Slice the onion into 1/2 in. wide pieces.

step 2:

Heat the salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the beef, spinach and onion. Saute for about 3 minutes, sometimes stirring. Add the sugar and soy sauce. Saute for 1 more minute.

The umami of the beef soaks into the vegetables and makes them delicious. Just the right sweetness makes it easier to eat.
