deep-fried potato patties

ingredients:

  • 600 g potatoes
  • 3 teaspoons potato starch
  • a little salt
  • 3 liters water
  • 360 ml salad oil

step 1:

Pour the water into a pan and add the potatoes. Boil for 30 minutes. After boiling, peel the potatoes. Mash them and cool for more than 20 minutes.

step 2:

Mix the mashed potatoes and the potato starch in a bowl. Form into 8 balls, and then press into round-shaped patties.

step 3:

Heat the oil to 170 °C and deep-fry the potato patties for a couple of minutes. Remove from the pan and drain on a rack.
